Product Application

The new organic phosphorus high-efficiency halogen-free flame retardant YT-ZDP its characteristics: high phosphorus content, halogen-free, and polymer compatibility, especially can be dissolved in the polyester system, the physical and mechanical properties of polyester small impact, processing flow is good. Especially suitable for polyester film, polyester fiber halogen-free flame retardant modification. It is especially suitable for halogen-free flame retardant of PET fiber fabric and PET film system. Good compatibility with matrix resin.

YT-ZDP is a flame retardant used in thermoplastics and man-made fibers. It has a significant flame retardant effect, especially for polyester. He is used for injection molding and fiber applications. Applied to PET, its addition amount is about 5-10%. The limiting oxygen index (LOI) of the flame retardant material can reach more than 30% when the addition amount is 5%. Applied to PBT, 10-15% YT-ZDP and 10-15% nitrogen flame retardants such as melamine polyphosphate and melamine cyanuric acid can make the material reach UL94V-0 grade (1.6 and 0.8mm thickness). In PET, a small amount of flame retardant can reach the UL94V-0 grade.

The amount of the flame retardant varies depending on the degree of polymerization of the polymeric material, the processing conditions and the addition of the glass fiber reinforcement. The YT-ZDP should be melted at a temperature above 200°C and then miscible with the melted polyester.
